The History channel military drama will be getting a second season comprising of 10 episodes — two longer than its current outing.
The show centers on members of Navy SEAL Team Six as they deal with their troop leader Richard “Rip” Taggart (played by Vice Principals‘ Walton Goggins) being kidnapped by Boko Haram, and their efforts to locate and rescue him.
The show also stars Barry Sloane (Revenge), Kyle Schmid (Copper), and Juan Pablo Raba (Narcos), as Rip’s fellow teammates.
“Six is a captivating drama series that embraces our recent history while being immensely relevant in the climate of today’s culture,” Jada Bennett, president and general manager of History, said in a statement. “It has struck a genuine chord with our audience and we’re proud to continue to tell the courageous stories, both on and off the battlefield, of the complex lives of this elite military group.”
Six airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET on History.
